For Museo, a local collaborative brand that aims to empower artists, they interpreted our mantra with the unique scenario we are in right now in mind. “Never Forget Shaking Hands” is both a plea to never forget the powerful gesture despite its absence today, and a celebration of the spirit of collaboration and community. The visual direction is inspired by Philippine postage stamps that are also considered as mementos that evoke a sense of nostalgia and memory. PURVEYR © 2020

ToFrom: Creatives is a letter to and from the ones who live to create, and create to live. It’s a letter we composed with seven creative individuals who willingly gave their time and collaborated with us in this project. We thought of a way to officially and visually introduce [Museo], because this is the first collection we would be releasing under only our name. We wanted this collection to echo the vision that started the brand, to walk our talk of being a local collaborative platform, to shake hands with artists, to collaborate, and to pay that support forward. This collection is a handwritten letter by us and seven individuals for everyone who share the same passion in creating.
This is to and from creatives.
We hope you write us back.

Endemic species are native species that are confined to a certain region or having a comparatively restricted distribution. They are important since endemic species have a generally restricted distribution. The threats to endemic carry more risk of extinction than for broadly distributed species because when an endemic plant species becomes extinct, its disappearance also affects the environment that it interacts with; and takes with it between 10 and 30 endemic animal species.
In spite of the laws that is meant to protect the natural and native flora, so many of our endemic species are still losing their habitat because of the ongoing growth of human populations, unsustainable consumer lifestyles, increasing production of waste and pollutants, urban development, and over collection constitutes a kind of “silver bullet” for our biodiversity. “By reflectively portraying a political idea of presenting these threatened endemic species in design, I’m giving it a voice, a platform, where it tells a story on their current status in the wild. I believe that it requires more than a law, but the active support of the people to protect our endemic species and maintain the right attitude and knowledge in collecting, preserving, and conserving these kinds of plants,” said by Alagadngsining.
For the 2nd collection of [Museo] Clothing, we did a collaboration with Alagadngsining, focusing and raising awareness on the importance of the selected threatened plant species that can only be found in the Philippines: Pakak. Malaputat, Malaboo, Kapa-kapa, Kamagong, and Waling-waling.

First Collection
[Museo] is a local collaborative brand that supports and empowers artists to exhibit their craft. We want to shake hands with artists, makers, and creators and let our merch be their canvas. Wanting to break out from the label of being just a “clothing line,” we brand ourselves instead as a platform. A platform for creativity and thoughtful collaboration. We are grounded in working towards a future of being an open museum of different voices in the local community; madly connected through art and friendship. EST. 2019
